Water Treatment

Supplying boiler feed water for auxiliary steam generators falls under water treatment, which is described under Boiler Construction.

The other and also very important part is supplying drinking water fro the crew, passengers and for e.g. on-board fish processing facilities, along with e.g. process water treatment for laundry on passenger liners.

It is usually treated via combined seawater evaporator-condenser units or through reverse osmosis.
